Cranberry Morphemes
A cranberry morpheme is a bound morpheme that is not an affix; it cannot stand separately by itself, and has no functional meaning, but exists to differentiate words.
The common example there is, naturally, cranberry (cran/berry). Lukewarm (luke/warm) is another one.
